LOCKSMITHS SINCE 1932

OURHISTORY.png

Reillys has always been associated with superior service. It's this rich history in the business that drives us to provide our customers with the same reliable service they've come to depend on.

The sons of Irish immigrant parents, brothers Leonard Mckenzie and Allen Gordon Reilly joined forces in the 1930’s to form Reilly Lock.

Fast outgrowing their modest beginnings at the rear of Pemble’s Shoe Store in downtown Toronto, Reilly Lock soon moved into its own location at 607 Yonge Street. There, in addition to cutting cylinder keys for 25 cents, the brothers added such auxiliary products and services such as door closers, trunk locks, ignition locks, lawnmowers and Mossberg rifles.

For many years Reilly Lock was the only locksmith in Toronto and at one point was home to a staff comprised of 42 locksmiths.

After 40 years of continued growth, Len Reilly sold the business to ADT as he moved onto becoming a member of parliament, serving Torontonian's in his East York riding.

In 1996 our current president, Carmine Panaro, purchased the company from ADT. He started at Reillys as a locksmith providing service to many of the clients we still work with today. After 24 months with Reilly Lock he made an offer to buy the company.

In 1998 two new companies were added to the Reillys family, Executec Protection Services, specializing in undercover and special security services like body guards and threat assessment. The second being Reilly Security, whose services included security guards, mobile security solutions, concierge services, loss prevention & asset protection, and other services typically performed by licensed security guards.

Carmine purchased Pauls Lock in 2004 and with Andre Paquette on the team for 13 years at Reilly’s and wanting an opportunity in ownership Carmine included Andre in the Paul’s Lock purchase. Pauls Lock was founded by Paul Jamieson in 1965 when he settled in Barrie, Ontario after leaving his job with  Reilly’s in Toronto.

Under the leadership of our President Carmine Panaro, we’ve continued to expand the company, with up to at least 4 multiple locations across the GTA.
